Summer’s around the corner, and we want to make a splash with Sunkist Orange for menswear. Introducing our 3 brand new styles: the Hybrid Swim Trunk, the Swim Gym Short, and the Eco Speedo. The Hybrid Swim Trunk uses 100% recycled Repreve and is board-short length. It has an exterior pocket on the leg for credit cards and keys. This trunk is detailed with Sunkist Orange piping on the sides and the back. The trunks have red mesh on the inseam with built-in mesh lining. Go straight from the gym to the pool in our new Swim Gym Shorts! Also made from recycled Repreve, the swim shorts are a bit of a looser fit, and are mid-thigh length. There is a hidden inside pocket for your credit card and keys, with an overlaying protective flap. The shorts come in black with an Arabian Blue mesh detail on the leg, also with built-in mesh lining. Introducing our last but not the least (unless you mean coverage) -- the Eco Speedo. Occupy Wall St, which kicked off two weeks ago in Manhattan, NY, has grown substantially in prominence in short order. NYPD police brutality two weekends ago probably had some unintended benefits in that it garnered national media attention to what was initially a small group numbering in the hundreds. Now, major progressive minds like Michael Moore and Naomi Klein and celebrities like Susan Sarandon have gone down to Liberty Plaza to talk to the movement to show support & give encouragement.

The investment will be used to put Solar Powered rooftop panels on about 9,000 homes. This alone will increase the total # of households using solar power by about 10% to 90,000 homes.

As 4-rth mentioned in a previous blog, it takes only 8 MINUTES for the Sun to deliver the planet's entire energy need!

Apparently, the biggest impediment to "installed" solar power on rooftops has been the upfront cost. SolarCity absorbs this cost & then leases the solar panels to the homeowner at a price that would be less than their electricity bill. Everybody wins, especially the environment!

That is how long it takes for the SUN to provide the ENTIRE energy needs of the planet today. yet we still rely upon dirty fossil fuels for 99%. WHY….could it be the lockdown on politicians by the OIL, GAS, & COAL industries? duh! GW Bush’s energy bill of 2005 actually encouraged vastly MORE fossil fuel destruction of US soil - particularly thru-out the Rocky Mountain states.

China has overtaken the United States to become the world’s largest consumer of energy, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA). The agency reported that in 2009 China consumed 2,252 million metric tons of oil equivalent in the form of crude oil, coal, natural gas, nuclear power, and renewable sources, surpassing the 2,170 million tons used by the United States. The United Nations General Assembly is considering an historic draft resolution recognizing the human right to “safe and clean drinking water and sanitation” initiated by the Bolivian government. Other member states have been consulted on the resolution and the final text is expected to be presented to the President of the General Assembly, for tabling by the end of July.

Also on hand were Fox 11 News anchor (and friend!) Christine Devine (also pictured). There were several hundred hardcore fans of the Dodgers on hand for the event held ON THE FIELD of Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles! Furthermore, Andre Ethier was wearing 4-rth shorts (size XL of course!)

Wearing full outfits by 4-rth were Christine Devine and other Los Angeles-based news anchors including Pat Harvey and Wendy Burch.

WHAT IS GLOBAL WARMING?
Carbon dioxide and other gases warm the surface of the planet naturally by trapping solar heat in the atmosphere. This is a good thing because it keeps our planet habitable. However, by burning fossil fuels such as coal, gas and oil and clearing forests we have dramatically increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere and temperatures are rising.

The vast majority of scientists agree that global warming is real, it’s already happening and that it is the result of our activities and not a natural occurrence. The evidence is overwhelming and undeniable.

Subject: NRDC blocks disastrous Everglades mining scheme!

I am thrilled to report a major victory in our long courtroom battle to block one of the Bush administration’s most dangerous attacks on the environment: a proposed massive rock mining project in Florida’s fragile Everglades.

Four years ago, the administration issued permits for the first phase of this gargantuan scheme that would have bulldozed and dynamited 30 square miles of the world’s most famous wetland ecosystem in order to produce a billion tons of limestone rock for use in roads and parking lots.

The resulting 80-foot deep pits — so big they’d be visible from outer space...

writing today from a small, virtually unknown town in Ohio….

what we here at 4-rth can tell you is that very few people have heard the term “eco-friendly” or "green." much less can they summarize what it stands for or means! I have educated a few people today with some basics on sustainability — such as what it means to use organic cotton for sustainable clothes, and why earth-friendly consumption is ever more important. I can only hope the word spreads — as they all seemed very enthusiastic about my products with intent to purchase! Wow, thanks small town Ohio!
